Yggio v3.40
2026-09-29
New major features
Rule Engine
Introduced a modern, flow-based Rule Engine with a drag-and-drop interface for building and managing automation workflows.
- Triggers: Device reports, missed report intervals, schedules, sunrise/sunset, and button presses.
- Conditions: Evaluate device values and other criteria, such as temperature above 25 degrees.
- Flow control: Add delays and redundancy checks that re-read device state and retry when an action has not taken effect.
- Actions: Send email or SMS, publish MQTT messages, make HTTP requests, send LoRaWAN downlinks, write to logs, or trigger other rules.
- Debounce control: Configure actions to execute on every event, once when a condition becomes true, or once when it becomes false. For example, a sensor reporting every five minutes can generate a single alert when a threshold is exceeded and a single all-clear notification when the condition is resolved.
- Per-device state tracking: Debounce state is maintained independently for each device, allowing a single rule to monitor hundreds of sensors with separate states.
- Access control and sharing: Rules are resources with access rights and can be shared throughout the organisation tree, with permissions inherited by child organisations.
- Templates: Ready-made use case templates make it easier to get started.
- Execution history and audit: Each rule has a detailed execution history, providing visibility into every run.
AI Assistant
Introduced an AI Assistant that lets users interact with the Yggio documentation directly from the control panel, using their own OpenAI or Anthropic account.
Dashboards
Expanded dashboard functionality with new widgets, chart options, and improved device management.
- New widgets: Multi-device Value, Navigation, Command Buttons, Pie Chart, Equalizer, Swimlane, and Geomap.
- Enhanced multi-device charts: Support for line, area, bar, and stacked bar charts.
- Additional display options: Vertical bar charts and on/off values in gauge widgets.
- Bulk device selection: Add multiple devices at once to table and chart widgets.
Organisation Manager
Introduced resource sharing across the organisation tree.
- Three sharing options: Share everything owned by a member, a device group, or an individual resource.
- Live device group sharing: Newly added devices are automatically included in the shared group without requiring it to be shared again.
- Flexible organisation sharing: A resource can be shared with multiple organisations, with one share per organisation.
- Resource-based organisations: Organisations are now resources with access rights and a single owner.
Map
Expanded map functionality with radio coverage analysis, improved device selection, and additional map layers.
- Radio coverage analysis: Visualise coverage based on radio signal parameters, with configurable thresholds and colours.
- Geographic selection: Draw a rectangle on the map to select devices within the area, then perform bulk operations using Select Many.
- Seven map layers: Street, Satellite, Humanitarian, Topo, Esri Street, Esri Topo, and Esri Gray.
- Configurable clustering: Adjust the cluster radius for more granular map views.
- New filter: Filter devices by Last Seen.
Device List Redesign
Redesigned the device list to improve navigation, network diagnostics, and data visualisation.
- Saved views: Switch between saved views with a single click.
- Connectivity preset: View detailed network quality metrics, including signal strength, network and battery efficiency, and raw radio metrics.
- Enhanced column editor: Apply threshold-based colours, display values as status icons or bars, convert text values into coloured labels, and colour timestamps based on their age.
- Date Filtering: Custom queries now support date-based filtering.
Unified Data Model
Defined and enforced a unified data model based on NGSI-LD across all translators.
- Standardised fields: Every field includes a type, unit, and quantity, with consistent naming across vendors.
- Major translator versions: Translators affected by the new model receive a new major version. Upgrading is optional, with before-and-after changes available for review.
- Extended CSV batch updates: Update translator versions, upgrade policies, and parameters through CSV batch operations.
Floor Plan Widget
Expanded floor plan functionality with additional device values, marker customisation, and bulk editing.
- Multiple values: Display up to five values per device, including coloured text values.
- Bulk marker editing: Select multiple markers to rotate or flip them, change marker types, adjust fill opacity, and show or hide values.
- New marker shapes: Circle, Ring, Dot, Square, and Seat.
Additional Features
- Batch Install: Automatically detect contextMap data types by column, with the option to force any key to be treated as a string.
- User Group Access Rights: Share devices, dashboards, and geofences with user groups.
- Sensative Sensors: Two new features, each activated per user:
- Almanac Fleet: Over-the-air almanac upgrades.
- App Upgrade: Over-the-air upgrades of the Virtual Sensor App (VSM).
General improvements
- Connectors: Added a generic External HTTP connector.
- HTTP Channels: Added support for username/password authentication and custom headers.
- Netmore: Added optional downlink validity settings and the ability to import devices without activating them.
- Messaging Connectors: Email, SMS, and WhatsApp connectors no longer require recipient fields.
- Actility/Netmore ThingPark: Added support for uplinks from external MQTT brokers and connector-generated credentials (prepare Netmore migration).
- Translators: Parameters can now be edited for multiple devices simultaneously.
- Data Marketplace: Added maps to listings, searchable city fields, support for multiple datasets per KPI, and faster filtering.
