Automatically corrects a sensor whose zero-point drifts over time but periodically returns to a known low baseline, learning the baseline from the low percentile of recent daily minima and subtracting it. Use it for a gas, particulate, optical or level sensor that keeps returning to a stable minimum and needs hands-off drift correction. Chained: runs on top of the sensor's translator and reads its already-decoded value (default co2).

Corrects a drifting sensor with a continuous baseline that snaps down to any new low immediately and drifts slowly back up over a set number of days, keeping no history for the simplest, most hands-off option. Use it wherever an ABC-style baseline correction is wanted and a day-window history is unnecessary. Chained: runs on the sensor's translator and reads its already-decoded value (default co2).

Benchmarks a building's energy efficiency by normalising energy use against floor area and the indoor-to-outdoor temperature difference, producing a temperature-normalised energy-intensity KPI plus rolling and calendar-period means. Use it to rank a portfolio and pinpoint the buildings whose insulation would benefit most from retrofit. Chained: runs as the main translator on a calculated node, reading the mean indoor temperature, outdoor temperature and period energy.

Tracks how fast a reading is changing and reports a smoothed rate of change per hour (positive rising, negative falling) - effectively the reading's time derivative. Use it to catch values that move too quickly, typically paired with set-alarm-change-rate. Chained: runs on a sensor's translator and reads a chosen field (default temperature).

Gauges a LoRaWAN device's connection quality by watching its uplink frame counter jump between messages and maintaining an exponentially-smoothed frame-loss percentage, with self-healing handling of counter reboots and garbage jumps. Flags when sound stays elevated (above an average or peak threshold) for long enough during a watch window, using real elapsed dwell time so irregular uplinks do not fool it. Use it to detect people present in premises that should be empty during evening/night hours. Chained: runs on a sound sensor's translator, reads the decoded noise levels, and raises suspectedActivity for the rule engine.

Sorts a reading into off / low / high states and accumulates how many hours are spent at low and high use, both cumulatively and reset daily, plus the ratio of bright-to-dim on-time. Use it to see how much equipment (originally indoor lighting) is actually being used and whether it runs harder than needed. Sums a numeric reading from every uplink into rolling day/week/month/quarter/year buckets plus a lifetime total, resetting each bucket when its window rolls over in the configured time zone. Takes a monotonically-increasing counter and reports how much it has grown so far in the current day/week/month/quarter/year, resetting each period on its boundary and re-baselining if the counter reboots. Unlike the sum variant it subtracts the period-start reading, so it suits sensors that report a running total. Chained: reads the decoded counter field from an upstream translator.

Turns an upstream people-counter's cumulative in/out counts into rolling period totals plus a lifetime total, tallying only movements inside a configured daily time window (Mon-Fri by default). Maintains a lifetime in/out people count that survives the device's own counter resets (daily resets, rejoins, battery swaps) by adding each increase and re-baselining on any drop, so the total only ever grows. Multiplies a numeric reading by a fixed factor and emits the scaled value, rounded to two decimals. Use it for a simple gain or unit conversion; use calculate-linear-calibration when an offset or second multiplier is also needed. Chained: reads the decoded source field from an upstream translator.

calculate-temperature-fahrenheit​

Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion · Calculation (chained)

Converts a Celsius temperature reading to Fahrenheit using the standard formula F = C x 1.8 + 32. Chain it behind any sensor whose native output is Celsius when readers also want to see Fahrenheit. It runs on another translator's decoded output, reading the configurable temperature field (default temperature).

calculate-traffic-counter-total​

Traffic-counter running total · Calculation (chained)

Keeps a lifetime running total of the objects counted by a PMX traffic-counter radar, per speed class and direction. Use it when the radar runs in Interval Mode and you want cumulative totals that survive network rejoins and never wrap at 65535. It is chained on the device's hardware translator, summing the decoded countClass{n}LTR / countClass{n}RTL fields.
